Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays, like New Years where one can’t help but contemplate what we have…

That said, I’d like to give thanks for everything that I have and for the amazing, synchronous existence that I lead.

I am thankful to be so fortunate as to have been raised all over the world. I am thankful for my parents and sister, the adventures and travels they have shown me and for the lessons that I have learned while I was living with them.

I am thankful for my hobbies and experiences. I will be eternally grateful to those who helped guide me  as a young skydiver so that I could survive the learning curve and experience some truly amazing skydives and BASE jumps. I am also grateful to the friends and fans who helped push my DJ’ing and Producing to the highest levels. We’ve had some truly memorable raves, parties, shows and jams and I am also thankful to the EDM community.

I am thankful for those who came before me and those who will come after me.

I am thankful for having an amazing job at an amazing company despite unemployment levels being high all over the world right now. I would also like to thank all the great people I work with and the members of my store team for being so rad!

I am thankful for both the academic and social aspect that I experienced when going to school and I am thankful for the amazing education that I have had. More so, I am grateful for my ability to self-educate and for my continual learning on a daily basis.

I am thankful for our soldiers, workers, priests, politicians, artists, writers, musicians and anyone who has helped bring meaning to human civilization.

I am thankful for all technologies.

On a more personal note, I am thankful for my kitten who has taught me to love cats, and I am thankful for my deceased Sheltie, Cash, who taught me to love animals in the first place. I am also thankful for Shelby’s cat Maggie for not being a handful and for giving Xochi a playmate.

I am immeasurably grateful to all my friends all over the world. All of you! I miss you guys and thank you for the contributions you have individually made during each period of my life. And I look forward to meeting and sharing with all of you whom I have yet to meet.

And last, but certainly not least I cannot express how thankful I am for the love of my life, and eternal companion, Shelby Chubb. Shelby, you are a fantastic, creative, loving, patient, experienced, tolerant, sharing, thoughtful, hilarious, wild, adventurous, beautiful and amazing force in my life. You bring balance and love to my life are incredibly helpful to my navigating of this existence. I love each and every day that you are with me and am thankful for the thousands more days that lie ahead for us.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

P.S. I am also thankful for the existence of blogs which allow me to publish articles like this.
